South Florida quarterback Matt Grothe, joining junior defensive end George Selvie and senior linebacker Tyrone McKenzie, has made it onto a watch list of awards given out to the best college athletes around the nation. The Bush administration has placed an almost two-year moratorium on solar-energy projects on public land, citing a need for studies regarding "the environmental impact the solar projects will have on land in Arizona, Nevada, California and other western states," Democracy Now! reported Monday.

The Southern Association for Colleges and Schools (SACS) Thursday lifted the probation of Florida A&M University and reinstated their accreditation.
During its annual meeting, SACS removed FAMU from probation and requested no further reports.
"We have been able to solve and address the critical issues that threatened the very existence of this university," said FAMU President James H.

The University of Abuja and Florida A&M University signed a memorandum of agreement Friday morning to broaden and further expand cultural boundaries between the two university.
At 9 a.m., a press conference was held on the fourth floor of Lee Hall to announce the relationship, which will allow FAMU students and faculty to study abroad.
